Outlets at San Clemente

A medium-sized collection of mostly factory outlet stores near the ocean

Opened in late 2015 after nearly two decades of planning – following earlier consideration of the ocean-adjacent site for the Nixon Presidential Library – Outlets at San Clemente is Orange County’s younger, smaller sibling to LA County’s Citadel Outlets, with roughly half the stores (~60 versus ~130) but a similar mix of brands. Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Columbia, Gap, H&M, Lululemon, Nike, White House | Black Market, and Zales operate discounted “factory” or outlet locations here, while local artisan aggregator The San Clemente Store, Tilly’s, and some others essentially sell here at regular prices. Around 15 restaurants are mostly basic pizza, sandwich, coffee, and juice chains, with a couple of local exceptions (Asada Cantina, TOMO Noodles); a 10-screen MetroLux movie theater opened in 2022, adding its own Scripted restaurant and bar in October 2024.

Parking is free and easy to find at Outlets, which is notably around a half-mile away from Miramar Food Hall, the 15-restaurant dining space opened in June 2026. Those interested in exploring both locations will likely find parking considerably easier at this shopping center.
