One of Orange County’s best food halls is the Anaheim Packing House, a former Sunkist citrus packaging building that has since become home to dozens of food and drink vendors. On the first floor, you’ll find ice cream, donut, pizza, Moroccan, Cajun-Vietnamese, and Italian-American shops alongside a speakeasy nestled inside a train car; the second floor features Indian, British, French, Syrian/Middle Eastern, Mexican, and cheese-focused restaurants, a tea and coffee shop, and a gift shop with foodie-friendly, purpose-driven products.
Though ethnic foods are plentiful at the Packing House, fans of American and American-adjacent dining will be particularly happy here. From soul food to grilled cheese and BBQ counters, there’s no shortage of places selling sandwiches, salads, and your choice of breaded/deep-fried treats. Small groups and couples will find seating available throughout the space, with a larger communal area on the ground floor; most of the upstairs vendors offer either counters or small dedicated tables, while some are effectively take-away only.
Parking is frequently a challenge here, so if you’re coming during typical meal hours, prepare to find a space somewhere nearby and do a little walking; otherwise, valet service immediately next to the building is $9. The Packing House is notably part of the Anaheim Packing District, a larger complex of dining, drinking, and shopping establishments.
