Steeped in history, Orange County’s Wild Rivers Waterpark spent over a decade closed and relocating after its initial location – the former drive-through zoo Lion Country Safari – was re-zoned by the Irvine Company to become the Los Olivos Village apartments. Reopened in July 2022 with a larger, 20-acre footprint at the Orange County Great Park, the new Wild Rivers includes over a dozen attractions ranging from lots of waterslides and a lazy river to a rain fortress and a wave pool, plus rentable cabanas and three dining areas.
Tickets range from $40 to $60 per person online, depending on advance purchase dates, with $80 pricing at the front gates. Not all of the park is open year-round, with some rides closing when schools resume in August; a summer camp is offered from mid-June through mid-August. Parking starts at $25.
