Trade Food Hall

An international mini food hall in an Irvine strip mall

Anchoring Irvine’s Trade Marketplace – a strip mall known best for standalone restaurants including HiroNori Craft Ramen, Otoro Sushi, and drink/dessert shop Chewie & Mellow – Trade Food Hall is a compact food court with 10 vendors, roughly equivalent to San Juan Capistrano’s Rodeo River Street. Choices include Duck Donuts, vegan burger shop Nice Burger, Japanese onigiri shop Ricebunn, British fish-and-chips specialist London Chippy, and physically separate sister Thai concepts Sen Thai Noodle Bar and Tuk Tuk Thai Street Food. Vendors that reliably continue to serve guests later in the evenings include Chinese-American fried chicken and dumpling restaurant Bao Chick, the bar and Mexican restaurant Center Hub, Turkish halal spot Mito’s Doner Express, and Taiwanese boba shop Presotea.

Challenging parking in the small Trade lot parallels limited seating inside the Food Hall; only Center Hub has its own dedicated serving area. If you’re thinking of heading over for dinner any day of the week, or at any hour on Sundays, definitely check the hours for any restaurant you’d want to visit here ahead of time. We found multiple places closed at 7:00 one Sunday evening, but virtually everything (save Sen’s Hainan chicken rice) was available at the same time on a subsequent Monday.
