Hosting a collection of roughly 50 small businesses that largely (but not exclusively) cater to high school- and college-aged women, Soul Real Market is a roving “flea market” dominated by recent vintage clothing booths and vendors of handmade arts and crafts. From second-hand jeans to shirts and jackets imported from Japan, Soul Real overwhelms visitors with clothing racks, but you’ll also find cartoony stickers, inexpensive jewelry, posters, collectibles, and handbags if you dig through the booths. Attendees come to shop, not eat: Food and drink options are notably very limited; a 2025 gathering celebrating Soul Real’s third anniversary had two food trucks and a couple of narrowly focused stands catering to a very large crowd.
Soul Real Market holds events in Orange County cities including Anaheim, Fullerton, and Irvine, as well as San Diego. Admission is free, as is parking if you can find it in whichever neighborhood is hosting the current event.
