Segerstrom Center for the Arts

OC's home for musicals, operas, concerts, and dance performances

Designed by Charles Lawrence and opened in 1986, Orange County’s post-modern, seismic-resistant concrete performing arts center complex in Costa Mesa includes a 3,000-seat performance theater, a 2006-vintage, Cèsar Pelli-designed multi-tiered glass concert hall for 2,000 guests, and several smaller venues. Together, these buildings and adjacent courtyards provide appropriately-sized options for everything from ticketed plays and philharmonic performances to jazz and cabaret shows, ballet and modern dance, as well as free outdoor gatherings.

Located across the street from South Coast Plaza and within a brief walk of the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA), the Segerstrom Center was originally known as the Orange County Performing Arts Center (OCPAC), and renamed in 2011. It now handles ticketing for all events held on site, including online seat selections with easy-to-browse layouts, and also offers a public calendar of events. Parking is available in an attached garage either by the hour or by the event.
