Roughly a block away from Venice Beach, the LA Louver contemporary art gallery spreads contemporary 2D and 3D works across first- and second-floor exhibition rooms. During a celebration of 50 years of operation, the gallery featured notable artists ranging from painters David Hockney and Gajin Fujita to glass master Dale Chihuly and sculptor Sui Jianguo; a promised TeamLab exhibit – three interactive screens with animated flowers called Flowers and People – is apparently available at a second location on Wednesdays, solely by appointment.
Entrance to LA Louver is free, with adjacent parking available for $15. Expect to spend 30-45 minutes touring the exhibits, including small outdoor spaces on the first and second floors.
