Held annually since 2019, Frieze Los Angeles is one of the top international art fairs in the United States, featuring contemporary art from over 100 galleries (including Hauser & Wirth, Takashi Murakami’s Kaikai Kiki studio, Jeffrey Deitch, and Perrotin) in addition to a handful of Los Angeles-area restaurant pop-ups and brand activations (this time, Sony Afeela EVs). Most recently running from February 26 to March 1, 2026, Frieze Los Angeles isn’t just a place to see art: Buyers regularly visit the huge tent outside Santa Monica Airport to purchase new pieces directly from gallerists, as well as enjoy limited access lounges, conversations with select artists, and other VIP events (with special tickets).
Early Friday tickets command $215 per adult, with full Saturday and Sunday access at $113, and discounted afternoon access at $85; students and kids are admitted at $40 or $11, respectively. Expect to spend at least two hours exploring the entire show floor – longer if you enjoy deeper dives, and even more if you stop for lunch or the activations. Parking at Frieze is $45 per day with included (short) shuttle service to and from the main entrance; organizers encourage visitors to use surface transportation or ride-sharing services instead. Frieze is part of LA Art Week, an event that extends to museums including MOCA, numerous LA-area galleries, and separate paid fairs such as the Felix Art Fair and Post-Fair.
