Don Melt

Opened at The Source in 2022, Don Melt is a nice little shop tucked into a first floor corner, offering ice cream cones, croffles, and Italian sodas – somewhat familiar options given mall neighbors such as Overflo, In-Sit Coffee, and Basilur. What enticed us to Don Melt were posters depicting double-height soft serve cones, which are unique to this shop.

There are only two flavors of ice cream, both non-dairy – plain and strawberry – and although neither enticed us enough to buy a big cone on our first visit, we gave in to our curiosity on a second visit. Unsurprisingly, the flavors are gentle but nice enough to make a huge soft serve cone palatable; this can be a fun treat to order and share with a partner and/or kids. If you need more flavor, and are okay with a smaller portion, try one of the affogatos (with drizzled coffee) instead.
