H Market Eatery at H Mart

A mini Korean food court with nine shops, including bakery and noodle options

Occupying the leftmost side of the Irvine Westpark location of Korean supermarket chain H Mart, the H Market Eatery is a full-fledged food hall with nine restaurant spaces. The original vendors were a mix of small to mid-sized chains, many replaced since the store opened in fall 2022.

  • Tous les Jours, a small bakery akin to Paris Baguette or Sunmerry with nice macarons, cakes (sweet potato, shown), purple sweet potato and other bread loaves, mochi, and coffee
  • Cho Dang Tofu House, serving bulgogi, bibimbap, and many other Korean mainstays
  • Kyodong Noodles, specialist in jjajangmyun black bean noodles and kkangpoon chicken and shrimp
  • Left Wing Korean Fried Chicken, a competitor to Furai, Pelicana, and BB.Q Chicken with four flavors (pretty good Honey Butter Garlic and Sweet & Spicy, shown; Soy Chili Garlic and Crispy Original, not); being replaced in 2026 by BHC Chicken
  • Myungrang Hotdog, Korean hot dog stand also selling semi-frozen Frosty lemonades and sweet rice Sik-Hyes; replaced in 2025 by Koko Teriyaki, since closed
  • Woomiok, a Korean restaurant with the classics – soups, japchae, and stone bowl rice – replaced by CHD Korean Dumplings
  • Menya Sandaime, serving five kinds of Japanese ramen, replaced by Omori Katsu & Ramen
  • Tokyo Hamburg, serving katsu, udon, and other Japanese items, replaced by Yuchun
  • Jopok Topokki, selling Korean gimbap, sausages, and ramen, replaced by Jaws Topokki

Bear in mind that Market Eatery is in addition to H Mart’s impressively comprehensive Asian food and banchan sections, the latter loaded with every Korean side dish you can imagine. We noted when it opened that the sudden addition of so many dining options in a single plaza felt like a game-changer for Irvine-based fans of Korean and Japanese food, though early heavy demand declined as the store’s initial novelty wore off, and some vendors decamped for greener pastures. Other H Mart locations tend to have fewer small restaurants inside, and most likely less turnover as well.
