Via Lido Plaza

Classic theaters and dining adjacent to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach

Directly across the street from Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, the Via Lido Plaza is home to a smaller collection of restaurants and businesses, including several heavy hitters. Most conspicuous is the Lido Theater, a recently restored, 85-year-old Art Deco movie theater now operated by Charlie’s Angels and Terminator: Salvation director McG, hosting a mix of classic films, live performances, and private events. Restaurant neighbors include Bear Flag Fish Co., Michelin Bib Gourmand-cited Fable & Spirit, Starbucks, and a location of Huntington Beach-founded chain Woody’s Diner. Quaint pharmacy and home decor shop Via Lido Drugs and boating store West Marine are the plaza’s key retailers, while an office building is now occupied by software company SAP America.

Parking is available in a small lot next to Starbucks and West Marine, as well as in street spaces between Via Lido Plaza and Lido Marina Village. Additional (and fairly expensive) paid parking can be found at Lido Marina Village, with one-hour validation after a purchase from any of the latter’s tenants.
