Eye-catching from the I-5 freeway due to its distinctive, castle-like battlements, Citadel Outlets is just under half an hour north of Orange County in LA County’s City of Commerce – and with over 130 brands, one of the area’s better collections of outlet stores. Official locations of Columbia, Levi’s, the North Face, and Tory Burch are among the outdoor mall’s top retailers, alongside mainstream brands American Eagle and H&M; luxury retailers Armani, Coach, Karl Lagerfeld, and Polo; sports brands from Adidas and Asics to Lululemon, New Balance, and Nike; and several younger brands including Aerie and Psycho Bunny. Dining is limited and heavily focused on national chains such as Chipotle, Jamba Juice, Lollicup, Panda Express, Ruby’s Diner, Starbucks, and Subway.
Indoor parking at Citadel’s garage is free without validation or a time limit; scattered outdoor spaces are also available. We tend to prefer Citadel’s mix of retailers to Orange County’s most similar alternative, The Outlets at Orange, but the latter’s entertainment and dining choices tend to be more numerous and diverse. Citadel’s closest such option is the adjacent Commerce Casino & Hotel, which resembles a lower-end Las Vegas casino from the outside.
