Habibi’s

Fullerton's newest Arabic flatbread and drink cafe emphasizes love and strong fruit/nut flavors

Even though Fullerton isn’t part of the Little Arabia cultural district in nearby Anaheim, some of its Halal coffee shops and restaurants are real Orange County standouts – Qamaria Coffee and the BBQ house Bundoo Khan, to name just a couple. As of July 2025, you can add Bundoo Khan’s plaza neighbor Habibi’s to that list: billing itself as an “Arabic specialty coffee and bites” shop, the coffee, tea, flatbread, and pastry cafe radiates the love of its translated name, and imbues its drinks and foods with impressively strong fruit and nut flavors.

Habibi’s initial menu starts with 18 drinks ($3 to $8): five espresso-based lattes (cardamom, orange blossom, rose, butter toffee date, and strawberry pistachio), three fruit-matcha latte mixes (strawberry, passion fruit, and orange blossom), four dairy-free lemon mint soda refreshers (pear, peach, strawberry, and passion fruit), and six basic espressos, lattes, and teas. Food choices include six savory mana’eesh flatbreads ($7/8 for 6″, $13/15 for 12″) with za’atar, cheese, labneh, and basterma meat options, three desserts including knafeh, a dulce de leche affogato, and strawberry nutella “pie” ($6 to $11), plus whatever pastries may be available. Fruit or cheese danishes ($6), cookies ($4), several croissants ($6), cinnamon rolls ($7), and cinnamon pulls ($7) all looked solid on our visit.

We wanted to try items that were substantially assembled in-house, so we ordered the strawberry nutella pie ($11), a four-piece sweet flatbread loaded with freshly cut berries, pistachios, pistachio butter, and chocolate-hazelnut spread. It was truly one of the best Arabic-styled sweet treats we’ve sampled in the Dubai chocolate era.

Our group also ordered passion fruit and strawberry matcha drinks, each with fruit puree on the bottom and flavor-matched cold foam on top, a strawberry pistachio espresso latte with a layer of pistachio butter on the bottom, and a strawberry lemon mint refresher made with syrup, mint leaf, and soda water. Appropriately strong fruit and nut flavors were a consistent thread throughout the drinks, though the pistachio butter didn’t mix well with the latte, remaining thick and stuck to the bottom of the cup, and the passion fruit matcha was similarly a little imbalanced due to mixing challenges.

At the time of writing, Habibi’s is less than a week old, and still has plenty of time to dial in its recipes. We actively look forward to returning and trying more of its drinks, particularly its cardamom, rose, and butter toffee date lattes, as well as its flatbreads. We’ll update this when we have another chance to visit.
