Here & There Coffee

As of mid-2025, Rodeo 39 now has its third front-of-food-hall coffee, tea, and pastry shop

Although it would be unfair to suggest that Stanton’s Rodeo 39 Public Market has become a revolving door for small food and drink establishments, the single most prominent space in the king-sized food hall has somehow changed hands multiple times in five years: Original tenant First Coffee gave way to Coffee Dose in February 2022, which closed three years later and was replaced by Here & There Coffee in June 2025. Whichever name it’s operating under, the front-facing coffee shop opens earlier than anything else at Rodeo – currently 7:00am – enabling early visitors and fellow vendors to kick off their days with coffee, tea, and pastries. Here & There closes at 4pm, leaving evening drink service to the bar Capo and boba tea shop Kozan.

We weren’t super excited after sampling a few drinks on our first visit to Here & There. Two of the “signature” drinks – a Pistachio Matcha ($7.50) and Spanish Shakerato ($7) – had different issues: Richer in green color than flavor, the Pistachio Matcha lacked any obvious pistachio flavor, and was basically just a milky cup of matcha without much depth. By comparison, the Shakerado had no shortage of its promised flavors (a quad espresso, condensed milk, and cinnamon), but was easily 75% ice cubes, so the liquid disappeared in seconds. Our third drink, a Honey Orchid oolong iced tea ($5.50), was ordered solely because it was one of the menu’s only non-dairy beverage options, and little more than steeped tea over ice.

On the beverage side, Here & There also offers typical espressos and lattes ($4 to $7), drip ($4) and cold brew ($5.50) coffees, basic and syruped matchas ($6 to $7.50), and several tea lattes ($6.50). A small collection of pastries skew sweet – cinnamon rolls, danishes, chocolate croissants, donuts, cookies, and kouign ammans – but also include savory butter or ham and comte cheese croissants, as well as spinach feta and pesto tomato danishes.

As of the last date this article was updated, Here & There has only been open for a month at Rodeo 39, so it still has plenty of time to grow into something special: First Coffee felt more like a truly artisanal coffee shop, and Coffee Dose a comparatively downmarket alternative with snarky marketing. Whatever it may be, we hope Here & There finds its own niche and excels, because we’d love to have a reason to visit both the market and this coffee shop space more often.
