Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA)

Contemporary art in a beautiful, modern museum space

Opened to the public in late 2022 after relocating from Newport Beach, the current location of the Orange County Museum of Art is in Costa Mesa, adjacent to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and across the street from South Coast Plaza. The 52,000-square foot museum includes two primary floors of interior exhibition space, plus an outdoor rooftop area that can accommodate sculptures. In late September 2025, OCMA was acquired by the University of California, Irvine, and was renamed “UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art,” as its collection was merged with the UC Irvine Langson Institute and Museum of California Art.

Outstanding curation has included rotating exhibits from contemporary artists Daniel Arsham, Jennifer Guidi, Fred Eversley, and Charles Long. Two on-site cafes are available – one on the ground floor, one upstairs – with garage parking in a nearby garage.
