Pink Pig – Closed

UCI-adjacent boba tea and gelato store lost gelato, refocused on beautiful beverages, then closed

Located at University Center across the street from UCI, Pink Pig emerged from what used to be Snow Monster, known for cotton candy-topped decorated boba tea and coffee, ice cream, and shaved ice. Upon reopening as Pink Pig, the menu was recalibrated around gelatos and boba tea, using a display case to show off a small but visually striking collection of beautifully swirled gelato flavors. Roughly a year later, the gelatos were pulled from the menu, eventually leaving the focus solely on drinks.

We enjoyed our drinks across several visits: service tended to be fast, with very fresh-tasting boba, bursting boba, jelly, and brulee options to accompany milk or fruit teas, such as Nutella milk tea, brown sugar pearl swirled milk tea, and peach swirled with a cheese foam “cloud.” However, Pink Pig continued to decline, reducing its options and service hours to the point where we’d look in and see empty display cases and no one at the counter. It closed around April 2026, and was replaced by tea and crepe bar Owly.
