Similar in size and scope to Irvine’s Trade Food Hall, Santa Ana’s 4th Street Market opened in 2015 – roughly two years earlier – with the mission of helping innovative new food vendors to establish themselves in the community. Ten years later, the Market has three drinking destinations (Daily Kombucha, Loose Leaf Boba, and Recess by Playground) plus eight mini-restaurants: microbakery Baked Banhs, soup and salad shop Deli Station, modern Hawaiian space Faka’s Island Grill, Gina’s Crepes & Waffles, a gelateria next to Gina’s called “Sweets By,” hot chicken and wing space The Golden Eatery, and sister Thai restaurants Tuk Tuk Thai Street Food and The Chicken Rice. Also inside are the Alta Baja Market – a Mexican, Californian, and American Southwestern market and deli, as well as a glass-windowed enclosed educational kitchen called CulinaryLab School.
Indoor seating throughout the 4th Street Market space is complemented by a sunny enclosed communal seating and play area for kids in the back. Parking in a nearby garage is free for two hours on weekends and certain weekday times; some street parking is also available.
