Opened in October 2019 only a brief walk from the ocean, 2nd & PCH is an upscale shopping center with a handful of dining and retail options that aren’t (yet) available in Orange County, but are close enough to visit here. Standout restaurants include the Spanish tapas destination Teleferic Barcelona, famous NYC ice cream parlor Van Leeuwen, Japanese ramen and rice bowl chain Jinya Ramen Bar, and LA-based dumpling and noodle spot Dan Modern Chinese. Restaurant chains already in OC include Boba Guys, Fire Wings, Shake Shack, and Urban Plates, along with retailers including Anthropologie, Athleta, Lululemon, Nike, Urban Outfitters, and Warby Parker.
In addition to numerous fashion retailers, 2nd & PCH is home to Pigeon’s Roller Rink, a unique space offering two-hour open skate sessions for $10-15 per person (plus skate rentals), a boxing gym, a cycling studio, and estheticians. Most of the center’s parking is in lots adjacent to anchor tenant Whole Foods or health/gym spaces; parking is free for the first 90 minutes without validation. Every Sunday, the Marina Farmers Market is held in the nearby Alamitos Bay Marina parking lot, and can be fun to visit at the same time.
